Keyser and Cumberland Maryland and west into WVa is severe ice storm through today, more than half inch through tomorrow am is expected. From what I remember from past storms you can pretty much bet 68 and 70 will be shut soon if not already. You will not be getting through there anytime soon.
Southern Missouri is undergoing icing as well. PA to NY state will be icing tomorrow. Everything else is either thunderstorms or snow depending on temperature between Little Rock and Philadelpha into tomorrow.
We are in storms that have organized and are passing through, when they reach far enough north near the MO or KY line and its freezing temps thats going straight to ice first then snow further north into the midwest. All of that is moving east.Rocks, WesternPlains, FerrissWheel and 1 other person Thank this. -

Someone stepped up and stuck me into a 4 wheeled front end loader to move rock and sand. lo and behold they found something I was very good at. It wasnt too long I left them anyway. You either fit in or you do not fit in. Until then I had to show them I mastered a variety of things anyone could do. One example was being a batch man building cement at the computer workstation driving the tower outside pouring concrete to order into the mixer. Off they went to the jobsite. Everyone quietly hung by the main telephone expecting a real big boss to summarily fire me for doing a bad job that I was not trained for.
The call that came in congratulated me on making good concrete. That broke the ice. When the boss found out he could not stand it. This nobody new hire daring to touch his stuff and actually batch out to retail order concrete. Its not difficult. What was the problem was in the south you mind your place is how they say it around here. When you do not mind your place then you are to be excluded for being uppity and so on. Well by scratch or hook I managed to make a name for myself there. They will remember me long after I am gone. What am I to do? between yankee stubborness or southern incompetency of minding own places... HA...

At 8 months, they gave us 1 full year. Way before we sold 14 years later, they were very quiet.
There is a slogan for these things:
"It kinda loses its glamor after you prove to them you can do it" -
I-20 in Louisana Edwards town or Edwards City to the central eastern part of I-20 has a major confirmed tornado coming at it in about 20 minutes from the Southwest to Northeast. Its one of 5 active tornados on radar and spotters. But the presentation on the Edwards monster is quite valid to me so if you are that way in I-20 find a hole somewhere strong building.
WesternPlains, Dave_in_AZ and FerrissWheel Thank this. -
