I was curious.I know o/o's have little free time and each minute is valuable. So,I was wondering, would o/o's be interested in someone, like me,finding loads for them and charging a small fee, like say $20.I would get relevant info from driver, where they wanna go,fee they would charge per mile etc.,and find a load a that fits their criteria. That way,the driver is not wasting time searching,I would have a load waiting. So,if there is any interest in this let me know. Thanks in advance.

Are you a broker?

Find your own loads like everyone else does.... or lease on to a carrier.

There are people who do that already, dispatch services.Good luck on here,I am new on here and have realized there is some good people here, but also a lot of jelaous, negative attitudes also.

BigGreg - I personally believe there is a market for this, kind of like a "truckers assistant" - despite the few idiotic comments you will get from knucklehead truckers, I think you could make a sizable income doing this provided you build a nice website and market your services aggressively...

Out of curiosity since I have no experience dealing with brokers or anything, but just what would the difference be between what this OP has in mind and being a broker?? The only thing I can see is that he'd be searching load boards to find load and not necesarily dealing with shippers/recievers directly. Would that be what would make it so he wouldn't be an actual broker ?

I think this would be a good service, provided the person providing the service has good contacts with decent (eh-heh) brokers.
