Thats a very good point that certainly contributes to this.....
When you have Zero "Toughness" in the industry anymore, You get Drivers who are Soft, no "Feel" for the Road and Sense of Travel.
This #### has got to stop- Nobody wants to Look at the Big Picture- You got too many Trucks- More importantly Too Many People Driving them That Really aren't sure What they want to do in life.
Which is what I think Is also a big Reason For this- No Heart or Backbone- Which then Lead to Not caring- Set The Cruise- Whatever happens,Happens, and put the Earbuds in, Stay Depressed all day- And Keep the Me,Myself and I Personality strong.

Sudden loss of visibility?
The crash occurred around 1:40 p.m. in White Deer Township and involved up to 20 vehicles. The accident occurred in a heavily wooded area of I-80 during a snow squall
UPDATE Coroners say at least 2 killed in Interstate 80 crash

The article mentions snow squalls, and bad visibility. I’ve been in a few bad ones, total white out, all you can do is slow down some, and hope the vehicle in front doesn’t stop, and the vehicle behind you doesn’t run into you. I like to keep a good distance, stay away from Me! Please!

And we all know who the white Volvos and Cascadias drivers are...they came from the part of the world where water don't freeze...Guess I am lucky, we used polar bears to plow fields...###Kosciuszko###Pulaski

Every trucking company involved in that mess will now have a fatality on their record..

Hmm, odd how that seems to coincide with the cell phone. I think more importantly, it's that we are so time conscious today, and that becomes the soul purpose, I'm the only one in the world and got to get there. Years ago, before all this ELD and HOS crap, we took our time, and got there when we got there. There's also no consequence today. We were actually afraid of what the boss might do if this happened. If these were their trucks, this would never happen, but speed on, insurance will take care of any mishap, Volvo has lots of trucks, you'll be truckin' tomorrow, well, sadly, not for some. Also, all plain trailers? Tells me either there's no more company trucks, or the company is ashamed to advertise, especially in these situations. And quit picking on FedEx, they stick out like a sore thumb in these situations.Tall Mike, sealevel, lovesthedrive and 5 others Thank this.
