The reason I am asking is because the dispatch for the company my dh drives for called rather late tonight trying to get in touch wih him, and would not say why, just that they could not reach him.
the person I was talking to did finally tell me what state he was going towards last, and it is NOT in this direction.
So I can't sleep now, and I am wondering should I be concerned very much. right now?
Also my dh is out of minutes on his cellphone so I can't get in touch with him, I did send him an email but I have not recieved a reply. also dispatch said that they think he is currently parked someplace. But I was not told where, and I don't have a number to call.
So am I starting to get worried over nothing?
Should I be worried?

Hmm. Vague information certainly is fertilizer for an active imagination.
Try to relax and not worry.
Dispatch is probably trying to raise him for exactly one reason.
"Also my dh is out of minutes on his cellphone"
^^ Right there. I don't know who he works for, and I don't need to know, but if they're in the habit of asking him what his ETA is or Can-he-make-it or whatever because they've got their undies in a bundle about ontime delivery, this could be a hyperventilation waiting to happen for dispatch.
Breath easy, and try to wait until you know something certain.
PS - I was once stuck without a signal at a poopy shipper for two days. I was fine, but really had no way to let the wife know I was all right. It worked out fine.Stillwater Thanks this. -
ok,then. hopefully everything will turn out fine. This is just the first time they have ever called and I do have a very vivid imagination even when I'd rather not have.
Maybe I'll hear everything is fine soon. -
I would not worry just yet. If he drives for a company that uses Qualcom, and that unit fails, which they do. Dispatch gets all wound up because they have a truck that they can't track. I'm sure he will be checking in soon.
Stillwater Thanks this. -
I still have not heard from him till yet, hopefully I will soon. And his dispatch did not call back so I guess no news is good news right.

I believe I would be calling the owner of the company tomorrow morning, and explain how they have scared the hell out of you, and you don't appreciate being left in the dark, especially when they started that panic!
Will keep you and your hubby in my prayers.Stillwater and otherhalftw Thank this. -
he could be under a canopy at the shiper/con........qualcom don't work under those

If you are still concerned, you could call his dispatch and tell them the situation and ask if everyting is OK...let them know they called you first and got you worried. Hopefully you have a contact number for after hours.
Wish you the best, but stay calm and rational..easy to say but sometimes hard to do!Stillwater Thanks this. -
("the person I was talking to did finally tell me what state he was going towards last, and it is NOT in this direction. " ) Is he going in the direction he is supposed to be?? If they know what direction hes going in his computer is working, and if his computer is working, they should be able to get ahold of him. But dont panic. Sounds like they know where he is. If something isnt right, (and they will know) , they will send a cop to him.

Most likely, tomorrow morning he will call in and wonder what on earth everyone got excited about. Been there, done that and had it done to me as well.
Dispatch gets in a snit when they are ignored, on purpose or by accident. They are hoping to get to him through the secret decoder rings that they hope you both share. Dispatchers can be ninnies.
