@Unclepete20 ...If you want to know if your dispatcher is mad at you, just ask him. Go eyeball to eyeball with him and get this thing settled.
It might be a misunderstanding or it might be a breakdown in communication. Or maybe he is upset with you.
Either way, you'll clear the air and find out for sure. If they don't want you around any more you'll be able to quit worrying and move on.
Dispatch mad?

Reo is right. You go in there and ask the dispatcher whats up? NOT in a confrontational manner, it will just shut off the dispatcher and make it worse.
Ive had a dispatcher a time or two who made it personal offended when I said no to him, how dare I etc. Personality conflict big time. One day I had enough of him and talked to the Dispatchers boss, I told him Im a have a meal and a smoke. Ive got two tickets on hand ready to use to go join another outfit if you do not replace so and so with another one of your dispatchers in a hour or two. OPs Boss was well aware of the conflicts between the two of us.
In a hour I had another dispatcher. And well chosen. HOWEVER for the rest of my time there the one I left behind sit in his corner with hostile intent everytime he saw me. He really had a problem. I cannot help that. Just let it go and its water under the bridge.
I had many dispatchers in my lifetime and there are about 4 I will ride to hell and high water and back for. They are what dispatchers should be made from at Dispatcher Factory Inc. Hard to find and rare. If you find yourself with one, do whatever you can to enjoy that time together both of you are a team. Win win all around.
But man, I miss picking on them Dispatchers with love.
You want this load where? Quit looking at the tiny USA map on the ink blot and listen to me telling you when it will get there. Its late already, you had 5 hours to get that info to me today now a 4 hour deadhead to load, 9 hours gone, were late wtf?
Just run it it will be fine.
Ach... drives me nuts. -
first year newbie questions working for a carrier. It’s definitely different than dealing with a boss face to face every day instead of a guy that’s 500 miles away -
