"B" is the cab. Came out 83 model year. Got rid of plywood floors, new electrical system, hvac, dash. Still could an A long hood til 1984. L come out in 1989. The L is now the ICON 900. KW refers to B cab as the 1.9M cab and the NGP (new generation product) as the 2.1M cab. I agree, flat glass and flat top look the best.

The sleepers (48”&60”) also changed. The early ones on the “A” models had much more round corners, which I like better than those on the B’s and L’s. I suppose that may have been done to match the sharper edges of the B and L hoods? Pete stayed with that style of bunk all the way into the 379’s I believe.

According to kw, all cabs are b cabs, no l designation on any of them, they do usually have 900L on the door panels though.
The flat glass cabs do look great, but I will take the comfort of an aero cab anyday for the little bit of looks. lol

I wish I could Harry Potter my cab!

As for me, I prefer the looks over the room, but I sure understand choosing the opposite.

Is there more leg room in an Aero cab? They obviously got the big hole, to walk through to the bunk but I’m more interested in how the cab is more comfy.

With a big hole you can push the seat further back. Mine is all the way against the wall, and I wouldn't mind it being further back.

YES, you can move the seat back further. In fact the one I just picked up to drive for a while, they have moved it back too far, It is all I can do with it all the way forward to engage the clutch brake.

More than just a big hole in an aero cab, while they do have a cab seem they are comparable to an integral sleeper like the IH or FL.

The aerocabs also set on one frame for both cab and sleeper so with air ride cabs there is more length between the front mounts and the bad which helps slow some of that up and down motion compared to a modular cab being on air ride separate from the sleeper.

The front cab mounts are also farther back on an aerocab and I suspect this changed the ride having them basically under the drivers feet instead of out in front of the cab.

Bean Jr. and mile marker 27 Thank this.
