You don't give us a whole lot of info when you ask questions. Do you own power unit AND trailer? Do you have authority now? You have to decide whether you want the aggravation of finding loads, billing, dealing with the feds, or paying a percentage to a company for them to handle that for you. Do you have a business head on your shoulder? Can you make sound decisions? Do you have partners who normally agree/think like you do? Can you handle money with responsibility? All these things play into your inquiries. There's a lot you need to know about trucking to be successful. :biggrin_2553:

Ok, so is anyone gonna answer the question? O/O or company? I'm looking at the same thing. I have an opportunity to sign on and "rent" a truck, under their auth and ins, plates and tags.. Is that a good idea?

I have an opportunity to either eat at McD's or B.King, which is better? I have an opportunity to buy a Ford and a Chevy. Which is better? I have an opportunity to marry a rich ugly girl or a poor pretty girl. Which is better? I can either take the bus to Seattle or fly. Which is better?

It all depends on you. When I look at my crystal ball, I'm getting a blank. Sorry.:biggrin_25520:

Trucking companies are dying daily due to lack of freight and rates sufficient to sustain operations.

Your chances are slim to none without a shipper, freight and contract(s).
