    I presume the red dye is bad because it will leave residue when burning? Do you know if the walmart kerosene have the red dye by any chance? Would hate to buy some and open it and turns out it's red...

    They have a couple different kinds. One is clear kerosene the other is lamp oil. The lamp oil is colored and I think scented so you don’t want it.
    Around here speedway is about the only one that sells clear by the gallon.

    Red fuel doesn't have a highway tax if an officer sees red in your fuel tank you'll get a ticket

    He doesn’t need to put it in the fuel tank. All you do is take the line off the top of tank and put it in the kerosene.

    Thanks. I'll pop by a Walmart and look for Clear kerosene. Shouldn't need more than half a gallon, I wouldn't think.

    Nice. That's super cheap too. I'm sure a quart will be enough to run the that efficient little heater for half an hour. While I stand by with my fire extinguisher just in case, lol.

    Also, I didn't even know they still made kerosene. I was imagining like Little House on the Prairie pioneer times when I hear about it. Today I learned.
