Honestly they don't seem all that much bigger than the 670's were. The collision avoidance stuff well that's new to me but i suppose I'll get used to it. It runs an rides a little different than 1098 did. It has a twin turbo so it sounds different as well. Not that I'm a volvo fan but i do miss trk 1027. That was the most dependable an solid truck we've had in the whole time we've been here.

Yea the pfj truck care at exit 4 can really suck at times. Watching them fix stuff is like watching paint dry lol ! They used to be 24hrs when it was gateway but they quit stayin open all night round the holidays last year (2018).

Does Climate go to Oregon any? I talked to Nick in recruiting today about coming to work there, he said they could hire me out of Oregon, but when it comes to home time I might have to park truck in Denver and come home. They sound like a good company, but I'm not to sure about doing that every time I wanted to go home. We are moving to the midwest in June. It might be best if I just waited until we move.

Nick is correct. We rarely if ever go thru oregon. My wife an i run team here. I've heard that every once in a while that there is a run to Washington State but I've never seen it. I have been here three years and we go to Ogden Utah and we go to Nevada and back and over into California and stuff but I've never been into Montana or Oregon or Washington State. I mean I guess I would talk to Nick and find out if they have you park the truck and Denver are they going to pay for you to go home and back to the truck and how often are they willing to do that and you know it depends on how often you want to go home. I do know a guy that they hired one time out of Las Vegas and he pretty much lives in his truck and only goes home about twice a year to visit family. And we have runs out the Vegas area well kind of I've been out there a few times but like I say we run team. It's all in what you would like to do but I know for a fact there are companies out in that area that run the western states that you would be able to get home all the time probably. But you live out there so you're probably aware of them but anyway that's just the best I can tell you good luck to you and I hope you find what you're looking for

Thanks for the reply. It's probably best if I just find a company around here until we move and then maybe try Climate. I have almost 30 years driving, but my last OTR was 20 years ago. I'm wanting to go back on the road to try it out to see if I like it before going owner op. The company I'm thinking about going o/o with requires 1 year recent otr

Well I'm sure you're probably aware then since you've been driving whether it be local or whatever but I'm telling you I started driving back in 1994 and it's a whole different world out here today over the road that it was way back when. You might try May Trucking out of Salem Oregon I believe they're out of I hear they're a good place for a starter company kind of like thing I know all they run is 63 miles an hour but they look like they have good equipment I've never talked to any of their drivers but maybe take a look at them and be a way to get your foot back in the door running over the road if you want to try it out

Man they took so long there, and they only had one mechanic working. I ended up just going to sleep there. I was supposed to have gotten ho.e Monday, but it seemed like every trucker needed a tire lol. They just patched it. I had 4 hrs in the sleeper by the time they got done, so I just stayed there.
