Me and my wife been driving team for about a year I've been driving for three prior to that both have good driving records everything's clear and clean we've been to two different companies and it's always good for the first 30 days two maybe three months and then you start getting treated like the red-headed stepchild we try to run six Thousand Mile plus a week we stay out for 28 days and come home for three or four and then we go back at 28 days I guess I'm just tired of being a number or 15 other drivers trying to get my job I just want to do like everybody else make a paycheck and go to the house and do everything as safe as I can we're still looking still ain't found a good company or that family atmosphere or the company looks out for you and you look at for the company the company I'm with right now all they do is run us 700 Miles here or there can't really make a good roll being a team that will run Coast to Coast without a problem can't seem to get on anything dedicated on top of that you're stuck down 63 mile-an-hour all the time because the truck is designed or if you save fuel it supposed to turn your speed up it don't work that way so you always stay at 63 miles an hour I have almost been run off the road I've had other drivers do Buzz buys and almost take my driver side mirror off because they think we're sandbagging know that's all the truck will do makes for a very dangerous. Especially in large amounts of traffic like at in Los Angeles but if they can save $5 on their insurance or fuel on the bottom line is great then on top of that you got a Lane avoidance and a radar in the front the beeps it drive you nuts during rush hour on 285 in Atlanta you're trying to figure out what the beeping and watch the Honda Accord in front of you trying to live life Fast and Furious . me personally I feel like if I have to have all this crap in the truck to keep me from running over somebody or keeping me in a line or on the road I don't need to be driving truck or anybody else for that matter but that's just my opinion hey if any of you guys know a good place to go let me know cuz I'm ready to find that one place and just retire in 20 years 15 if I'm lucky

Why does everyone always think things were better back in the day? I’m just a noob, and I always hear how “good” it was.

    rpad139, D.Tibbitt and bryan21384 Thank this.

If you want to pull a reefer there’s a few out of North Carolina.
Google WLA, Cooke, mountain river. There’s a couple more, but I can’t remember right now.

Because things WERE better back in the day driver. You being " just a noob" means you don't know what you missed! 10-4.

What did I miss? Parades when you showed up at shipper/receiver? 5 course meals provided by shipper/receiver? Did trucking companies not fire their drivers? Like I said I’m a noob, just want to know what I missed.
