Hahaha, it's a company truck. I'll have to wait till it's back from Cat to get that info.

Jersey doesn't even require an escort for that, do they?

Well no but if the boss offers one up it would be nice. They require over 100ft and we (I say we because I'm not the only one) are at 95' 5". PA on the other does require one and if they are company employed escorts. It makes sense in my mind but then it's not my name on the door.

Yeah @Landincoldfire I used to take 80' beams to a galvanizer outside of Atlantic City. NY required escort but not Jersey. I didn't mind too much going alone after the stateline...On the other hand, took wide stuff to the galvanizer in Lebanon Pa and I would keep the escort for the whole trip, even though Pa didn't require it.

Oh ok, I didn't mean the whole serial number, just the prefix; like 6NZ, 7CZ, MBN, NXS, SDP or BS. The year of the truck normally helps narrow it down unless it's a Glider

Hey guys, back with another question or two.
This last trip when I loaded the 921F up on my stepdeck, I was going to back it on to face the bucket to the rear. I thought I read somewhere that some states require that. That right?

Also the reason I didnt was the exhaust was rear facing. That's bad because of the wind being forced in back to the turbo? Or was that on older equipment?

Can't really answer your question, but I always taped off the exhaust. They also make a 'sock' for it: Dysarts in Bangor, ME sells them.
