We are. But there is one of the sub cultures here that has little regard for driving laws, particularly the one about not drinking.

Codes... LOL... :biggrin_25523: Buildings fall down here in Brasil.... because codes are not enforced.... :biggrin_25512:
I was told by someone who manages apartments in that building and has been living there for 30 years that the building is safe. I hope so... And I will take care of what needs to be fixed and updated cause I care about my real estate.. Unfortunately not all dwellers are like that. And that worries me some.... Cause if something catches fire or explodes or infiltrates, it may ruin for everybody else....
So... for now I am still taking some risk in keeping that apartment but not sure if that is going to be "forever"....
There have been many problems with apartments that affect other apartments and some people just don't care or don't have the money to get it fixed.... and that causes problems to their neighbors... some even have sued others for that... major pain... :angry1:
So far, we never had any major headache but if it becomes like that, I will have to sell it... And then, will have to come to Brasil and sit and wait till it's sold....

It will take about a year to get the investment back if I rent it out...
But if I decide to sell it, I will still have to sit here and wait till who knows when for the government agency to decide how much I will pay in taxes to get my dad's name out of the way so that I can sell it.. for now, the apartment is in my name but I need to get that done so that I can sell it or rent it out...
I initiated the process with government last December/10... this was after 2 months trying to finish my registration with their website cause they don't do anything in person and would not authorize my registration... and now I sit and wait... that's how government bureaucracy works in this country. :angry4: They put people to sit and wait forever... Total disrespect and no consideration for anybody....
So... for now I hope it doesn't take more than 2 months to get that done while I can get the apartment fixed...
But if I decide to sell it, I will have to stay here even longer... I have been in Brasil since last August/26... I must go back to the USA and resume my life, get a job, pay stuff...
If I decide to sell it after repairs, give power of attorney to the person who manages it, I will still have to come back to finish business and that might take some more time... :biggrin_25521:
But I have been considering all the pros and cons as I do things here...

I see folks driving in MA... crazy drivers... cutting too short without using signals, disrespecting lanes of travel... reminds me of Brazilian drivers.. Ohhh wait... there are LOTS of Brazilians driving there... :biggrin_25523:

Perhaps Brazil is better for you right now peaceful like.

We are at a state of hot war or very close to it right now. My home is awake 24/7 with many sources coming and going of our activites towards a formal strike against the Iranian Homeland.

We have lost several US Gov sites already cyber style from Iran. But so it goes. Just the early stages.

Yes.. I wonder sometimes where I would be when war strikes like that.... and will be hard if not impossible for people to travel abroad... I definitely want to go back to the USA... but only God knows... I will be wherever I will be....

Its not impossible to travel. We are not that bad off. Our enemy makes sure no one has anything, cannot go anywhere. Cannot do anything and left with nothing. Inhumane. We allow people to travel and be free.

A batch of jets roared over not too long ago, I consider that the sound of Freedom right now. As much as possible life is near normal here.

Random question. On a sliding 5th wheel, i always run with mine all the way back . i am 34000 on drives with 5/8 of fuel so i been stopping every 300 miles or so to fill up . i was 34200 when left the shipper but took my tarps out of tarp box and put them on end of trailer and it moved 200 pounds off of drives and put them on trailer. If i slide 5th wheel forward will it move some weight weight to the steers? If so how much? Or will it shift weight from trailer as well and make my drives more heavy? My steers are 11,300 with 5th wheel all the way back
