I hesitate to speak on his behalf but I remember him saying that he could not find such a well paying job, a mystical job, not that they did not exist at all. Neither could I. The point is that such jobs, even though they might be somewhere in existence, are not widely available or/ and(more likely ) they require too much sacrifice from someone with family and life.
You sound like you could find a job like that anytime today or at worst tomorrow. How many drivers make 100K a year per normal distribution, 1%?

It may be interpreted as 252 days involved. From that angle, you are not lazy at all. I prefer to look at nights spent in the truck. A night spent in the truck is a sacrifice night. It would not work for someone doing a local job but a local job is a different ball game, it may even hardly be considered as trucking as we know it.

You've got selective reading when you troll me... That's it. When you factor in Health insurance, PTO, retirement is what I said...

Hes also the guy who said he wouldn't help build another man's empire by working as a company guy so instead now he would rather build a brokers empire by getting loads off freight boards? It's no mystery the profits they make are insane....

I thought there was a useful discussion in the other thread about 100K per year jobs. I did not bother to read all the posts and whatever quibbles involved. I don't know about trolling you...but whatever you say.

100k might be hard to hit but 75k is very common. 75 might not be a lot in chicago but it goes a king freaking way every where but the largest cities.

75K is a decent pay in Chicago as OTR too. 50 - 55 c a mile is a common pay for going to West Cost and back to Midwest. That's what they can do - 130-150K miles a year.
