Thanks ill look into the dyno! Anyone know if i can change the whole dashboard to 389 dashboard or are the trucks different sizes?

 

Update. So truck has very little blow by. I opened the oil fill cap and it was very little smoke coming out. So im going to just rebuild so my question i want the best platinum kit bit ill be adding pdi turbo exhaust manifold but not sure about which cam to use factory or marine cam or a pdi cam. What else should i change while its getting rebuilt?

 

If there's very little blow by why are you rebuilding it?

 

Forgot to mention my buddy's shop will do the overhaul. He said its 50-60 hr labor 4200-4800. Does that sound about right for overhaul?

 

Around 5,000 for labor is about right, at least it's what I paid for mine.

 

I'd leave it alone unless there's some good reason to tare into it

Okay thanks guys ill wait on the overhaul. Ill run it until the day comes. But whenever the tine comes what else should be done? Fuel pump, fuel lines?

another question it has 3:55 with 22lp tires will it be a slow truck? My last truck was 3:55 with 24 11r tires and it could do 80 but i once changed it to 24 lp tires and I couldn’t reach 70mph.

how much does it cost to rebuilt the rears? And also how can i check the health of the trans?

 

Depends on the transmission. Mine is a single over at .85, but my previous was like .75. Huge difference.
