Well, Borden's milk is $4.50 a gallon and Walmart milk is $1.80 a gallon. When your price is to high, your sales go in the dumper. I know people don't like Walmart, but in most situations, the lower price will move the product.

Borden was bought by a private equity firm in 2017. That explains the bloated liabilities to assets.

Thing is, most dairy is regional.
I love that I get milk from two major local producers (Rutters & Clover Farms.) I can taste the freshness, and I hate the milk from out of the area. I think there's some non-compete tax though because the generic milk at the store is only about 50 cents cheaper than the local. So I pay extra because they are literally in the same city.bzinger Thanks this. -

The new progressive generation was raised on soy milk. Now they go to Starbucks and order soy lattes. Milk is animal abuse.
