I gained a new appreciation for the big hoods. I seen soooooo many show quality trucks and Really really wanted to drive them......if you look that ######.........split all the gears you want for no reason.....I would too. I got to talk to a guy that had a sweet two tone green w900 with old school stripes in TN and he was telling me how the truck is his home/hobby... it's all he does and it was freaking awesome. Big stacks, big hood, big shifter with a reefer that was equally as nice.

If I had to do it again with the cold and snow I don't think not having a seat would have made a difference lol. It was the worst ride I've ever done yet the best at the same time. I needed to clear my head and it worked. I'll put myself out there as a pile of lady parts and say that I cried and prayed for the family of the UPS driver shot down in Miami......it hit WAY too close to home and was/is/and always will bother me and never leave my thoughts. You know guys bust my balls in fun about the vacations I take, the toys I have, etc.....that brown uniform is why I have those things and that's what that young man was trying to get for his family....cut down way too soon. Being out on the highway and seeing all the awesome trucks and really thinking about how this world ####ing stops without us....I know we say it but get out of that truck....see it.... reflect on it.... it's wild. I decided the world for now needs this steering wheel holder, non driver, local guy for a while more lol.

My daughter best friend Dominick was just walking home from the bus and walks over and makes conversation and wants to help me clean the bike up lol. I wish I could offer a 10 year old a beer lol. I kinda feel bad for this kid. I remember someone saying on here that their daughter had a beat friend that was a boy but she grew out of his league. I see the same thing happening here ......I hope they stay friends forever.....he's an awesome lil boy once you get him away from his Xbox. He felt the need to stand there and compliment this bike which is an absolute piece of crap until I asked him if he wanted to hang out until my daughter gets home lol. @Troy_ how the hell do you keep your bikes nice up there? I know this thing wasn't in the best shape rolling up on my snow trip but it looks like it's sat outside sinc it was new after the ride.....it didn't age well lol. I really don't give a crap because to me a bike is meant to be ridden but ####....3000 miles up north and it honestly got 5 year's worth of age if it sat outside down here.

I just give it a good soapy hand wash and rinse after riding in the rain, then hit the chrome with some never dull. that's one good thing about HD, the paint and chrome are high quality especially on the older models. they clean up pretty easily.

Speaking of washing stuff. I told my wife that I need to get a sprayer and some good degreaser so I can wash my truck Sunday before I head to Houston. She just kind of rolled her eyes and said Im obsessed with having a clean truck. She'd go months without washing her Yukon if I didnt wash it. But yet she almost nonstop cleans the house. Sees a spec of dirt on the floor, out comes the mop thing and the whole floor gets done. Then vacuums the area rug because "omg its so dirty". Yet she vacuumed it 2hrs earlier lol.

I'm now pretty confident in saying this thing has been repainted. It's got some fisheyes in the front fender and a lot more pearl on the side covers. I'm gonna have to paint it now lol. I've been at it with the never dull since 7am and you are right.....it cleans up a lot better than you would think.

It honestly wasn't fun at the time but it got my mind off things for a lil bit at least. I honestly don't think I'll ever look at a package car the same. I know dudes that have been beat up and robbed but dude getting killed left a scar. I was talking to a UPS driver in Ohio at a gas station and when I told him I was a retired driver he wanted to talk about that....I told him to take the effort he was gonna put into this conversation and send some of his $40.63/rate to that family.....I don't think he knew how to take it lol. I don't think charity is something that should be announced but something that is done because you think it it the right thing to do......I did....I call on @Banker and @LtlAnonymous to do the same if you have a surplus right now and if you haven't already. Broke my own rule there but dude just got the opportunity that we've had for years and it was taken from him.

yeah, Harley quality control would never let it leave the factory with fisheyes in the paint. they pour the clear coat to 'em, most light scratches in the paint can be polished out with a good cutting compound. takes a pretty good gouge or dent to require repainting. and then to get a repaint to match HD OEM is big bucks. that white pearl color is stupid expensive if you can even find it. not uncommon that a paint job for a complete set of tins to run up to 5K, especially on a fairing equipped model.
