What’s the difference between the 2 addresses...?
Big city vs country side..? If it’s in the same state .....
Get another insurance company and call progressive’s bluff and cancel the policy and blame them for screwing you...... -
Send Progressive to hell, and find a better commercial insurance. Progressive has always given me the most expensive quotes.
I was speaking to my insurance agent a few days ago, and she said that Progressive is known for increasing the premium for just about any change on your policy like adding a new truck. Those guys are lions out to hunt the little guys. About the only good thing they have going on is that they will insure you when many won’t, but you will pay greatly. -
Progressive does state that if anything is incorrect on your application they can come back and alter your policy and raise your rate.
I can understand your point that you rent an office and a yard and your paperwork states that address as your business location.
I can also understand their point that as the owner and as the driver you are over 2 hours away from your truck and your office. I could see that raising a red flag to them. Underwriters have different guidelines that they use when they write and review policies.
If they are asking for your last 90 days of your ELD just give it to them. Sounds like they have proof your yard and your office is not in your hometown, and now they want to see whether you are truly parking there or whether you're traveling back and forth to your hometown.
A lot of people lie to the insurance companies to get a cheaper rate. It is unfortunate that sometimes people that are not lying get caught in the crossfire.
Just give them your ELD records. Then they can see that the truck is actually parked where it's supposed to be and you're not traveling back and forth to your hometown. That is probably what their concern is.
If you give them the records, they may restore your policy to where it was.
And they may also require that you give them your ELD records from time to time or regularly.
Do you have a problem giving them your ELD records?Midwest Trucker Thanks this. -

Ok. What did they tell you after you sent them your eld's showing you have not traveled to your home town?
