For those among you who might be church goers, my pastor told us at mass this morning that The Chronicles of Narnia is patterned after scripture.

Not to be critical of your pastor on the subject, both C.S. Lewis and J.R.R Tolkien based most of their writings on religious texts.

I think it should also be pointed out the main characters are members of the cat family.

The females of the species got me new Carhartt sweatshirts for Christmas.

And it's a good thing, otherwise I'm certain I would have frozen to death this morning.

I'm trying to talk myself into going 15 to 80, but I'm having a tough time convincing the OM.

Talked to a driver for Hunt this morning. Just coming back to work for Hunt. Does heavy haul.
He had gone to Blade running. Made tons of money. Ridiculous... 60 cents/mile for over length, another 60 over height, another 60 over width, another 60 over weight. Started at 78 cents. Got $250 a day, every day away from home. $9/hr for his breaks. Said he made $400 something thousand last year.
Only problem is he couldn't get home. 9 total days home one year. 14 another. Has spent maybe two holidays with his family in 9 years. They wouldn't get him home for Thanksgiving or Christmas this year. He told them to forget it. Money isn't everything.

I'm not sure what WY is like yet... But after the salt shakers got out in IA it wasnt too bad... From Drs Moines to North Platte, NE has been smooth sailing. I stopped for food and fuel in North Platte with intent of a 2 hour nap... 2 hrs turned into 10. Lol

I was reading about those windmill propellers. What I read most of them are manufactured in the Dakotas and there are something like around 12 blades being transported at any one time. I've got nothing against wind power, they are kind of ugly and they kill a lot of birds.

One pit fall to having those things around is lower bird populations. That means you are probably going to have a lot of insects. Birds eat a lot of bugs. Some birds will eat a human person's body weight in insects.

My GUESS is farmers probably don't like windmill farms nearby

    WesternPlains and Dave_in_AZ Thank this.
