Indianapolis area has been insane for reefers this week. Mid week spiked over 100 to 1 load to truck. Been cashing in all I can before we shut down between Christmas and New Year. Been getting more then round trip pay on single loads, then turning and burning back for another.

This fill was 1648 miles, average speed was only 39 mph, 8.1 mpg. All the weather and stops made for some hard miles.

Did your Flow Below take a hit? It looks a little crooked in the picture. What about the rubber on the bottom of the fairing? Has it affected your efficiency?

Nothing wrong with the Flow Below. The center piece has never been perfectly straight. Maybe the picture makes it look worse. It’s not much off. Not sure where I lost the rubber piece. I put some new bolts on it not long ago. That portion of those rubber pieces is what scrapes the ground when I back into those slopes docks. The front piece doesn’t scrape.

I just booked my last load for the month. It delivers Monday. This month will be 9011 total miles, 8% DH, 21, 226 revenue, 2.35 on all miles. December worked out pretty good. Holiday months make it hard to keep the gravy train rolling.

Topped off in PA this morning. This fill was Carlisle, PA, to Kansas City area, and to Bloomsburg, PA. 42,100 in the trailer to KC, short DH, and 44,250 in it on the way East, 8.7 mpg.

Filled up today finally, I’ve been doing partial fill ups lately, due to the fuel tax difference. 3098 miles total, 9.6 mpg, LA to TX only had 17k left in the box on the multi stop load 195 miles light, DH 350 miles to McAllen for a big money produce load, 40k in the box on that one, delivered to Philly, ran around Eddystone and Gloucester making 3 picks, then filled in Mebane, 42k in the box on that one.

I've read this whole thread, and now I need to go read your first two lol.

It's nice to see a thread turn into a success story... I look forward to seeing more of your story

Also, my biggest note about the whole thing is how impressive your fuel economy is. Between the thoughtful equipment specs and the apparently extreme self control of your driving methods, I'm very impressed. I've always considered 5mpg to be good lol

Thanks for the read. Good luck going forward!

Almost home. I deliver in the morning and DH in for a few days off. Been out longer the usual because of the holidays. I’m at the point where every little thing gets on my nerves. I don’t like staying out longer than 3 weeks. My fuse isn’t long enough for that.

    RStewart and TallJoe Thank this.
