I need to replace my turbo on my N14. What is the benefit of Holset vs Borg. I can't find no comparison as in CFM, airout put, manifold pressure, better fuel economy. Nothing.
Its for a CPL 2025 set at 500 peak torque 1550/1650 1200 RPM
I don't "need more" power but would welcome it. I will take all the fuel economy I can get though.
Any real world experience or data out there?

That's kinda a rare deal. I dont know of anyone who has done the switch on a n14. Personally I'd stick to the genuine holset that's for your cpl. It was designed by Cummins for that engine.

Did you end up going with a BorgWarner turbo? I’ve found both genuine turbos about the same in price and going to replace mine soon.

I asked the same question as OP in a Cummins Facebook group and 90% of responses were to stay with Holset
