I’ll take Socal over Wyoming most of the time. OP must be a Vegan because ready access to In-N-out burger in Cali is a huge bonus.

Don't get me wrong. I am a superfan of In-N-out burger, and also, this time exactly last year I remember hitting Sacramento after being stranded in Northeast Oregon for a couple of days.. and nearly rolling over on 97 close to Klamath Falls. It was 60 degrees I think in Sacramento a few hours later. That was a nice contrast right there, and I swore to never swaer about Cali again.. to an extent.

You sound like an entitled millennial.

Are you looking for a job that needs to be done or just wan't to be a paid tourist?

False advertising,,,, sure but what's you're end game in respects to staying out of SoCal ?

What's wrong with California as a company driver other than maybe the speed limit?

Ok, so I read your posts.
Why are you complaining about a company you don’t work for?

I've been with Indian River four years now. You mentioned that your friend is getting too old to chain up, and that he frequents Barstow.

It sounds like IRT is accommodating your friend, as it is. I would bet that he is on his way to Tempe with a load of oj out of Tipton, California. This is a regular run of ours. And if your friend is like me, he chooses going 58 to I-40 down 95 to I-10. This route bypasses L.A. and there is little danger of snow.

Unfortunately, California is impossible to avoid if you are running the West Coast. A lot of freight coming in and out.

States like Montana and Wyoming are states one merely passes through.

Depending upon who you drive for, you'll eventually get to see 11 Western states.
For the longest time, I had never passed through the Dakotas or Montana. But with IRT, I finally did.

The bulk of what IRT does out west is run up and down I-5 and 97 taking oj to Washington and apple juice to Riverside and City of Industry.

If you have questions about driving for IRT, I can probably answer them.

I liked that little thought of yours. So wicked in many ways. And you know what? You are so right.

I ran all the west loved it I did not love California too much and hated Nogales even worse. Most of my time west was Oregon east and Wyoming based around the Denver freighting If I was not involved down by the Mexican border with produce etc. From Yuma to Eagle Pass Texas etc.

However I don't hate california, at some point it's going to break off the rest of the USA and be sunk into the ocean. Which would be what they would deserve for being stupid with all those socalistic laws that they have tried to pass.

As bad as Cali is right now, you do whatever you need to do to STAY the hell out of Virginia starting tomorrow and until at least 1-22 next week. Richmond's State Government has declared a portion of Richmond core around their capital state house a no go zone for expected 10's of thousands of out of state armed demonstrators intent on invading the place. The leadership are working on laws that will finally make hundreds of thousands of Virginians Felons and subject to military style attacks for purposes of violently confiscating anything gun. If they do this and it stands in total conflict with our Consitution then more States will get the feeling that they too can finally make those laws.

So do not be in Virginia any time soon for a while. And if you are, then I hope you can shoot because you just might need it.

If you want to come to Landstar, I'll run you through the western U.S. until you beg to see the east.

Thank you for that reply. Keep in mind HE was not really complaining at all, it was me. I think food grade tanker is a viable alternative. A decent option. The post is just about, something obvious that many of miss. If you work in the so-called 11 west, it will probably be California heavy, more so than most of us imagined. That's all!
