I backed out... I really wanted to tell him that he just needs to put them on with an impact, Brr-ap-ap-ap, and not to stop until the 3rd ap, and NEVER go past it, but if there's a chance if he has an impact, he'd decide that method was correct lol. I'm sure there's been more than 1 detroit main installed with the "its goodn'tight" method, but I'm not going to be the one to say it.

 

This is why you check the cloth shop rags before you run to the woods. The cloth shop rags hold aluminum shavings even after landering. Or just carry blue paper towels, or a roll of actuall toilet paper.

I cant be the only one that carrys a roll in every vehicle, can I?

I have a roll of blue towels in just about every truck, pickup and farm equipment. LOL

He did a good job.

Negative on the only one carrying a roll of cob. I've got one in all 3 vehicles here, and a gallon zip lock bag with a roll in the shop at the farm, for farm use.

 

I guess they're updating their assessment.

Our middle daughter's fiance' just bought a 65" tv 2 days ago, it fell over and didn't survive. I think she's more upset than he is.

 

Got the ole girl a bath at the beacon in LR back to the office for an oil change and a picture tomorrow then bound for Columbus, WI.
