i had to use lumber tarps in place of smoke tarps., inside a warhouse must have been 150 in there and get these tarps up the eight foot tall load, man it sucked so bad.

I'll bet that's why there are very few fat flatbedders. -
You better be putting that on a step, as most flats are going to be too tall. I could only haul 8'4. you would have to have a low set-up to get 9 foot on there -
I was going to say the same thing... I have tall rubber on both truck & trailer... My trailer stands at the highest point 5' 3". If I hauled that load with my flatbed, I'd defiantly be over height.
I could be wrong, but I don't think they make a flat that sits that low to allow a 9' tall load. Most are accommodation are for a 8'... -
Both of mine are on lowpro 22.5s and one is 4'6" and the other is 4'10" I usually dont want anything over 8'6" and dont want that. My dad fell of a 8ft load of lumber and bruised his legs all the way up to his knees "landed on his feet" couldnt walk finshed tarping in al drove to my house in ga I drug him in the house and had to take the load on for him. That high stuff is dangerous. Rather be wide then high. -
if your putting 9' on a flat bed you should put a tape to it unless your really low pro you will be over height.
-
I could only load 8' 6" I believe on a flatbed? We had some weird ones where you could put a little higher object towards the back because of the slope of the trailer.
-
8'5" is as high as I can go and still be legal. You will have to get a step deck for that 9' load. But if it is a one time deal, you could get permits for it.

Its hard to explain, the tires were so small that the deck was flat back from the gooseneck to the back of the trailer. The bottom of the trailer sat higher than an RGN, but the top was low. 4 axles in the space of 2, 16 wheels where you would expect 8. Single step, 4 axle capacity, 53 ft long.
Talk about versatile. It would be the perfect trailer for my need, except for 1 drawback. The sucker looks like its 9 ft wide.
