The FXF terminal around the corner from mine is good for that.

    Yes I did but... relax.

There’s increasingly less options and available for employees in regards to company pay and conditions.
The choices for most employees nowadays is to accept whatever is offered to them, or to starve. Take it or leave it. After all, where else are you gonna’ go?

That’s not a random thing; it’s actually a very carefully planned out and executed strategy that is being jointly practiced by the actual companies themselves. The companies may be competitors, but they are also teammates when it comes down to lowering their labor costs.

Means more money, more money, more money for the guy at the top.

Lol. I been here since September. I still am learning new things. R+L don't tell you much. My orientation was fill out this paperwork real quick and we'll see you tonight.

I asked about insurance during interview and he said well I never heard anyone complain. Haha that sold me. I joined because no one ever complained about their insurance.

So if you're a city driver or p&d driver at R&L, what happens after 40 hours if theres no OT? Just another hour of your regular hourly pay or they don't go over 40 hours to begin with?

It probably depends on where you live and whether or not OT pay is mandated under state law. If not, then all your hours are paid at your regular rate.

That’s not the curse some make it out to be. Companies that do pay OT usually bend over backwards to make sure nobody gets any.

That doesn't sound too bad. I saw R&L advertising a starting rate of $28.50 in Kearny, NJ. I'd rather make a decent base hourly vs a low hourly and hope for OT. Because I'm sure everywhere where there is OT, there is a driver kissing up to management for it. And I can't do that lol.

FXF is a prime example. In the FedEx barn near mine, any of their drivers that hit 40 hours by Thursday can usually count on Friday off.

Not only is it a prime example, it's an almost perfect example. Especially when city drivers bid on start times and NOT routes.

No thank you. I want five days a week, and six if I can get it.

I don’t need some horse-### doing my run on a Friday only to bring half of it back and stick me with all the returns Monday.
