Its personal preference. I personally like the W900. More room in my opinion.
Northern Nomad Thanks this. -
T600 was always my fave, the W900s are nice. But those new Cascadias looks pretty nice. Never drove a Pete except for moving 2 from the Swift terminal in Columbus to the Pete dealer there.
-
Thanks you guys! The W900 really nice!OK,one more question: is it true that Peterbilt built their truck more high quality than Kenworth?I just saw video how thei built their trucks, and what I hear its the best truck on the road, and you newer see same Peterbilt on the road, because every Peterbilt have some difference according to drivers request. So,I dont know, what are you think?
-
That is "In House Propaganda"from Peterbuilt.
The last real Peterbuilt was back in 1987,ask anyone that truly knows Pete's history. Since 87 all the Class 8 builders switched to plastic and high production numbers(volume).
There is no "higher quality" in a Pete verses a Volvo or any other. They are all a rattling buckets of bolts and cracked plastic after 100K miles. You just have to pay more to tighten the bolts and repair the plastic on a Pete.
Our FL Columbia's will out work,(out run) 90% of the glamor girl Pete's running the road.(525 Tuned Detroit,15spd # 6.8mpg)
My profit at the end of the year puts a big Ole PERIOD at the end of my statement.
Trucking is all about profit, run a Pete and you'll see.

Cascadia is Freightliner.

One of the Fuglyist in Freightliner History, the Coronado on the other hand is pretty nice.

Kenworth and Peterbuilt are now one in the same

All I have ever owned is Pete and Kenworth, and all I will likely ever own in the future is Pete and Kenworth. 379/T600/T800.
On the surface, looking at a shaker, it "appears" as well built as a Pete or Kw, but take the skin off of all 3 and note the bare bones structure of a shaker sleeper. Next, compare how they're wired and which truck uses the absolute minimum to get the job done.
For an outfitt with a thousand trucks, maybe the shakers and vulvas make more bottom line sense, but for the guy with one truck, he can't afford a lack in quality. You get what you pay for.
I would get out of this business before I ever bought myself a shaker or a vulva.nitetride379x Thanks this. -
All the newer trucks ar made of plastic and are cheaply put together! They just aren't designed to last like the older ones.MNdriver Thanks this.
