What if it Snows?

Took me 5hrs to get loaded today and only 2 1/2 to make it home. I hate Laredo and Madison Transport.

 

That's one thing I don't miss about OTR. Waiting 5 hours for them to load. Or whatever ludicrous time.
Had one that was 5 at shipper. 5 at receiver. It was only a 7 hour drive. Doh!
I don't even want to try with the new Binford Model 6100 Violation Creators I have to deal with. Bad enough with my job. Thankfully I can waste time. Still make good money.

 

That reminds me of some loads i had last year took 4 hours to load 3 hours to tarp and only goes 250 miles . The guys ive talked to that work for COTC say they get loads like that all the time on the west coast. I cannot even imagine putting up with that . Nothing compared to u reefer guys tho lol

 

Must be a record. Wow man.

 

I wonder if they pay for your loading time on that?

I remember when I worked in electricity. Had one substation that only had train track near it. Not to it. They brought in a new transformer. Just the insurance to take that transformer one mile, was a million dollars. It's because it had to go under the 500KV lines from the substation. I wondered how much the truck made for that one mile trip.

 

But reefer is Cool.

 

Best I ever did was $300. However, I did get to go home, have a nice supper, drink some beers, and do the Humpty Dance.
