Empty or not, that set-up is heavy on the tail and will wreck his truck when the tail starts wagging that dog.

Bingo! The only correct answer, they are going to tilt the trailer and slide the can off. Can't do that if the rear of the can is not over hanging the back.

    PoleCrusher and cke Thank this.

If he gets the right trailer he can still haul cans.
Note: no straps were harmed hauling this container. It was properly chained down like the regulations require.

Guidance says straps every 3 tiers, right? I'd probably add another below the top beam as well, but I've said many times that structural sucks and I don't really do it.

    misterG Thanks this.

I'd be using edge protectors as well.

Metal building kit from someone like Nucor I assume. Load those in one shot, so you have to fish your straps between the tiers when it’s on the trailer. Pain in the ###.

A couple winters ago we hauled a bunch of loads up north of Edmonton. The only good part was they were light. It would take them 3 minutes to set it on your trailer and then you were over at that rack that they had for about an hour strapping it down.

That's all part of the job... No? Am I the only one that carries a pole for edge protectors/ pulling straps through?

Everyone wants to throw a few straps over loads and call themselves flatbedders... Ok...

They have the poles at Nucor. My favorite is when they put some light weight parts in boxes on the top and say “don’t crush those boxes”. Yeah, ok. Lol.
