Wheathauler the wet corn pit is >16.0%. The vast majority is going in the wet corn pit. Got pulled and checked for aflatoxin again today but I was good. I'm bout done down here. Gotta service our 4 trucks in Ark. and get ready to kick back off in rice.

I know better than to grow too fast. Only bites you in the _____ . Best to have everything set up right first.
I only ran teams, so this solo stuff is going to be an adjustment. Like a shower every day????

Surely most of you guys know some of the local farmers in your areas and you already know where the elavators are sending the grain just get it set up with the farmer to haul direct out of the bin to where you are going with the elavators grain then you get the farmer more for his grain and you make out pretty good too just have the farmer make the contract so you dont have any marketing risk I routinly make $1.60 a mile loaded and empty doing this if I pick up a backhaul it is a pure bonus just something to consider guys

That would work but a lot of the work is elevator to elevator. Then many of the farmers around here have their own trucks.

Rock Salt, Feed Salt, salt of all types. Could haul out of there but would probably need a broker or company. bullhaulerswife husband has hauled out of there recently. I hauled out of there years ago.

Hauled from seed dealer today...always like it good pay, quick pay. Wish they were all like this.

Doing some figuring today on rates. Running 6 loads for total of 600 miles divided by mpg which is 6 equals 100 gallons. 100X 2.69 =269.00. It's taking almost 3 loads to pay for fuel only. I was making this from one of the (better) paying grain companies.
Hopefully diesel comes down...know rates won't go up from this outfit.

Today one of the terminal elevators was going to cash sales only on wheat coming in. They couldn't store it.

Elevators around here sometimes go cash sales only no storing of the grains, during fall harvest. Not all do but a lot of them do. Usually it's a sign there isn't much room in the elevators.
