Dave, do you need a refresher on gross vs net revenue?

Gross revenue is ALLLLLLLLL the money the truck makes.

Net revenue is the money left over after fuel, truck payments, repairs, insurance, and the OM's To Go Boxes.

So if moving the truck down the road costs 90 cpm, and trucks are averaging 2,500 hub miles a week thta takes revenue/truck/week down to $1550. That $1,550 needs to cover both the driver AND the OM. As your OM will gladly tell you, she and her To Go Boxes are of primary concern, leaving about $1,000 a week for the driver.

Its not the amount of revenue per truck getting to the driver that bugs me, but the amount of cash on hand that isn't being spent developing the core business and properly training new drivers .

PS - $3,800 in revenue to a truck is crud on a stick.

Except. Schneider doesn't have 10,356 OTR drivers they steal from.

Subjective. What if a $1,000 is detention pay?

If its a 1,000 a week, then it makes a difference. If its a one off thing, statistically it is insignificant.

As a side note, based on my average pay and company paid benifits/payroll taxes, my pay is more than half of the average trucks revenue.

    $1,000 a week is plausible.

Not likely, but plausible. In Dave's case that much sitting would result in all detention pay going twoards cat treats and to go boxes for the om

Not for Schneider on them big accounts. You guys forget Schneider calls us when it falls apart and they need something covered.

Everytime I've gone someplace to pick up where it's all Schneider, no ICs either, it's $4 mile range.

And the one did pay me like $250 detention on top at the receiver.

    sealevel and spyder7723 Thank this.
