That seems off. I had Drivewyze with my previous carrier and would get the green light nearly 100% of the time in Nevada, of course I never stopped as green means go from my understanding... Never was chased down...

Why would Nevada participate in Drivewyze if they arent going to "Honor it"?

Great question. I mostly run NV and ID and see a lot of NV. Don't usually care because they are almost always closed anyway

I have a omnitracs (QC) and it has a drivewyze and it keeps a lot that the driver can access to show the nice officer that you did in fact get a bypass (which the scalehouse also has a log of)

Not sure why some sites have a bypass signal if they don't participate but if the sign says all trucks pull in then it means all trucks pull in. Most states have another sign telling transponder guys to follow the in cab signal. Without that, you gotta pull in with everyone else.

Hauled 48k of 1/2" rebar today for the first time and figured out a better way to do a full wrap than what i had been. I put one on each bundle and nothing moved at all.

Used a full length strap, fed hook end under the pile from driver side to passenger side with my fishin pole, then threw it back over the top to the driver side again. Flattened strap out and set the hook to hang on the deck then fed the fold into winch. Tossed slack end from driver to passenger and straightened it out so nothing overlapped, the ends are offset. It wraps the pile like a spring or a barber pole paintjob. Passenger side tail goes into a dropin or a 4inch hand ratchet since i havent got winches over there. Cinch these straps first, from each side equally, and itll bind up like tied corn stalks. Then tighten all the regular straps.

Note the J hook edge protector.

I guess you won’t hook to the rub rail? if you lay your strap out on the deck before you’re loaded you won’t have to fish I through.

Yeah i always hook to the rail on passenger side unless i cant for some reason.

I had laid the straps out first but didnt know how the packs were gonna land and didnt like my placement once they were on so i pulled out em out and refished.

    FerrissWheel and D.Tibbitt Thank this.
