brushing your teeth outside

I guess these guys don't care about any toothpaste on the ground...or pee,or poo,or cow pee and poo. Was out walking the dog this am at the ta in Puckerbrush,NV and saw them sleeping like a couple logs on the ground in the truck section...eewwww!

 

I want to thank all the posters in this thread because you had me rolling with your comments about a simple subject of brushing your teeth. Just be happy they are brushing their teeth.

i brush my teeth outside of my truck most of the time whether or not the t/s has a sink i can use 24/7. i don't like going into the restrooms to use it because they usually stink of urine and crap, too many people coming and going, and i just plain don't like doing something like that unless it's in my restroom here at home. sometimes i accidentally get it on the side of my truck. whatever. all i can say is that i brush my teeth on a regular basis. i am proud of it. i don't care that the toothpaste stains the ground. be glad it isn't urine from a pee bottle/jug i'm leaving behind.

oh yeah, i've also given myself a wet paper towl "bath" and used some bottles of water for my hair, shampooed, and rinsed it out. i can't stand going longer than 2 days without a shower. i did the birdbath behind an ikea in north-east portland, oregon. personal hygiene is a big thing for me. i don't even like being around people who stink most of the time.

 

TS's in general are just disgusting. I don't stay at one unless I absolutely have to. I hate truckers without any personal hygiene. They get out of the truck, scratching their ###, adjusting their crotch, carrying their pee jug...gross. The hot smell of piss coming from the asphalt in the summer is just not something I want to experience if I can help it. Rest areas are for me. I'm self contained and I have to problem brushing my teeth in a rest area. In a TS? Forget it. Toooo nasty.

 

I understand your point, I cant stand most of the people out there. I stear clear of the TS as much as I can within reason.

 

Heck with that. If you buy the cheap ones at the $ store it costs 14 bucks a week to brush your teeth... I have several tooth brushes in my truck. One is a fold up one with a small tube of paste. Fits in my pocket for quick brushes.
