Being a 89 it should be a Big Cam 4 with this style after-cooler. Around 1990 I was driving a 1988 Cabover Kenworth for H&W. It was powered by a BC4 @365 hp with a 9 speed. I ran 2800 to 3200 miles a week normally, and grossing 80,000 was not unusual. Nothing in the world wrong with a Big Cam Cummins, as long as it’s in good health.

The trucks lined up in the one picture all had BC Cummins except for the white / blue Cabover Peterbilt, it had a 3406 @310 hp. We were all Oversized heading to Louisiana from WV.

Finding a guy in a shop that works on mechanical engines, is probably like finding chickens teeth these days. Ask around local to you, may find someone you never know.....

Ive had historical figures quoted that you can bill any amount to Uncle Sam that you have the Balls for. He'll pay it.

The ancient one knows. He might have one tooth and a eye but he will know.
