I have a question about wifi. I don't get out much and use Metro as my carrier. I have unlimited data as long as I am using my smartphone. If I "hotspot" I am limited to 10GB. Is this normal or an exception?

I can roam the internet on my little smart phone something like 8 gb a month then 10.00 every little block of data after. Which will make me shoot them and then burn the bodies in that phone exchange building.
I rather do it on the BIG computer home internet where I can do anything 24/7 and not get gagged in speed. However new customers get gagged after like 150 gigbyte per month then slowed.
When am forced to reimage failed RAID to basic windows and then update and redownload internet based games etc it's almost a tera that month in data pull. Which is 1000 megabyte. -

I used to keep an eye on my data use, but I don’t anymore as I haven’t been throttled. I do not update apps or download anything large using my cellphone data network. For that, I use my P/FJ WiFi.
Nowadays, though, there is no need to be downloading movies, TV shows, or music. All you have to do is pay for a subscription like Netflix and Spotify. With Spotify, you can download your music, so it’s available when you’re not connected to the internet, say, while driving. With Netflix, some TV shows can be downloaded if you know you’ll be stopping in an area where you won’t have internet. -

I set up a business account through ATT. I get a laptop (large tablet with keyboard) and unlimited WIFI for about $100 a month. It's as fast as any wifi I've found at a truckstop, and I get it everywhere. I watch movies and random crap during my down time, and it's more than enough to keep me entertained. If you try to use your device as a hot spot, they limit the data to 10GB. They don't want you sharing your "unlimited" data.
