Forget about getting assigned loads that are just barely ready before we pick up... was just informed that this 11am Drop n Hook isn’t even scheduled to be loaded until 9pm tonight.

Ya, my DM is working on it but this is ridiculous.

But don’t you have the added cost of one way airfare too? Maybe I’m not fully familiar with the concept.

A 14 night repo cruise comes out to $100 per night for a midship balcony room. Add in the airfare thru the cruise line, it comes out to the same price as a 7 day Caribbean cruise out of Florida. And after 22 cruises, most to the Caribbean, a repo cruise is great, there’s only so many times one can go to the Caribbean.

    Well this is a first.

Roll-up reefer door is so frozen shut that we can't get it open even with a forklift sliding the forks under the door.

When the dude raised the forks, the trailer lifted up about 5 inches. The door didn't budge.

That is one reason I like to carry a rubber mallet to bang the door a bit to try and loosen any ice. Fork lift can damage roll up doing that. Hope you find a solution so can unload.

Had that happen once. Middle of winter. Trying to unload a -10 load right down from my house and go home. Had to call breakdown finally to get someone out to get it unstuck. The receiver tried multiple times and failed and if they’d have done anything more, it would’ve damaged the trailer. Only took 20 minutes for the people to get it unstuck after a 2 hour wait for them to get there. Thank goodness they had the right tools for the job!

It amazes me the amount of ppl that drive in bad weather and heavy fog with no lights on.....gotta strain my eyes to see them.
