I may be moving to the Russellville AR area and am curious about LTL or local delivery work. I currently own a truck, but moving to a new area where I don't know any contacts looks daunting to keep my own truck. I don't mind getting some exercise so delivery kind of appeals to me.

My question is, how much can I reasonably expect to make? I've had my CDL for 3 years with a clean record. I don't have any endorsements, but could definately get them if it would help. I feel like I need to make at least $60,000 a year to support my family, preferably $65,000. Are these figures totally unreasonable for starting out?

    Marten Transport - Walmart dedicated.
Marten is now offering the reliability of a great Walmart dedicated route. With this route you can earn top pay and get home weekly! Drivers average 62 CPM and earn $1,125 or more a week, guaranteed! Plus, there is no unloading.
We pay PRACTICAL miles on this - address to address not zip code to zip code

New(ish) driver making $65g's/year to start? Sign me up,,,when pigs fly. I think you're asking a bit much. Keeping you're truck depends, what kind and is it paid for. I may out of the loop, but I'd think $40g's is a more plausible starting salary today.

I’ve only been driving for 4 years and my lowest year was 70k. Find an LTL company that is hiring in your area. OD, Fedex Freight, Estes, ABF, XPO, UPSF. You will need all your endorsements for any LTL company.

Tyson? J.B. Hunt? I would imagine Russellville would be good for local work with those companies

That might be truer than you think. There's money in auto parts. What kind of truck do you have? ( don't say Volvo, don't say Volvo)

FedEx Freight has a relay yard there. No positions open right now but it’s worth keeping an eye out for.

I made that much my first year. I don’t see why that’s unreasonable for him to look for with three years of experience.

Lots of troubles at Marten. They are similar to Werner & Knight , everything is your fault.
