Yes. This is logically clean and unambiguous now.
So this "eCFR" is the official, chiseled in stone, book of federal codes, also including HOS...? If so, great!

I saved it for future reference. Thank you.

Well. Let's conclude this short, yet as I hope, a useful informative thread by saying that as I type this, the Keep Truckin elog had no objections and my clock for 11 driving and 14 shift hour clocks were reset successfully. I am ready to resume the trip.

You can’t edit PC time to anything other than on duty driving anyway. There isn’t a way to edit drive time in any manner. Just keep doing what you’re doing. I’m off duty right now but later tonight when I go in the bunk for good I’ll switch my status.

Technically, if you're under a load, you're not allowed PC. The DOT cop *could* find you in violation.

    No.
You are allowed to PC when you are under load.
I will PC when under load because nowhere it says that I can't.

You went ON duty 4 times on that 10 hr break and you documented it, so not legal.
You CAN be off duty resting in the sleeper birth.

    Funny!
Even if I did, nobody saw me. Neither did you.
As far as documenting it...tell me more about it! I don't have a clue what you are saying.

Any entry in your log book is on duty time. Even if you wait until after 10 hr break still illegal cause not true and/or current.

If nobody saw you why do you do it the way you do:rolleyes::D

If that's the case, I am guilty as charged.

No, no it's not. There is no regulation stating as such. There is even guidance stating short times that would normally be on duty can still be off dury as long as it's short and doesn't interfere with the break.

Question 5: Do telephone calls to or from the motor carrier that momentarily interrupt a driver’s rest period constitute a change of the driver’s duty status?

Guidance: Telephone calls of this type do not prevent the driver from obtaining adequate rest. Therefore, the FHWA does not consider these brief telephone calls to be a break in the driver’s off duty status.
