Nah, that's good money for that lane. Usually for $1.20 it gets covered a minute after it's posted.

Agreed. That's how I measure a load. X $$ after immediate expense over y time, including$ and time to bounce to the next load.

I think your nuts. I'll bounce back to Ohio and get a load going to the same general destination paying practically the same gross $.

Again. Your nuts. The same philosophy applies. Miami to Ohio might only be 1500. Bounce north to savannah or Columbia and get the same 1500.

I understand what you are trying to say about bad lanes only passing cheap rates, but in my experience I can always equal the same gross $ by bouncing towards the destination and grabbing a load ounce im out of the bad market.

OH to Chicago will be just as bad. Are you doing dry van or something else? So we are on the same page

Dry van is 99 % garbage rates no matter where you are. I own a dry van, it's parked right next to my reefer and used for the same thing. Storing junk I don't want to throw away.
I've been telling you fir years that if you get away from that dry van you will find it's a LOT easier to get a good rate.

So bounce a little further and find a better paying load, I've passed 1.60 loads because they're just not worth the time.

Coffey, Bean Jr. and Dave_in_AZ Thank this.
