Every load that's in a lane you want to run in, bid it up on the Convoy app to at least $2.00 per mile or more. Most you won't get, but some you will. Running the I-5 in just California right now isn't even paying enough to cover fuel. You need to get some of those medium distance loads just out of state to keep your head above water.

If things don't flip pretty soon, there's going to be a lot of O/O's shutting down and selling their equipment.

I’m in South Carolina and every time I see a lane I would do on Convoy I bid $3.00/mi. I have only gotten one so far this year and I compromised at $2.91/mi

We are a little slow especially on the back hauls. I did take advantage of this slow time and just added another truck. Will be starting Monday. If you can make it in the slow times you will really prosper when it kicks back off. I don’t pay a lot of attention to “the doom and gloom” or the “sky is falling” crowds. Trucking works in cycles. Always has, always will. If you are barely getting by during the good times you ant gonna make it during the bad. Keep on trucking!

Sounds cold but this planet needs a cleansing. Too many humans. I remember as a kid in school being taught there was 4.5 billion people alive. And now it's almost 8 billion. Took us 50 thousands years to reach 4 billion and we have nearly doubled it in 30 years. That's flat out unsustainable. We need a plague level type of outbreak to wipe out 50% of the population

This may be it, of course I've heard and read some theories that it's all a plot of the chinese since they're losing all their hogs and sounds like they've got bird flu too killing their chickens, but that's neither here nor there and as far as I'll take it on this side of the site.

It isn't. Modern medicine is to good for our own good. We need something like the plague of 550? AD that wiped out a third of the human population across Europe.
