40 new Love's locations to be added in 2020

U kidding right?? Fuel at 3 dollar a gallon lets say each truck gets 100 gallons thats 300 dollar a truck times that by 10 pumps , times that by 1 truck every 10 mins or so , that is alot of frickin money! Idk how much they buying the fuel for but there is no way they is making more profit from the store than the fuel pumps

Big trucking companies don't pay the price you see posted. I often wonder just how much less they pay.

I fuel where fuel is cheaper, I don't get a fuel discount. You can get fuel in Texas for less than $2.40 right now.

 

True ! I didnt think about that but still , there is no way they arent making a ####ton of money off fuel

I do try to use Love's showers. Usually nice and clean. Have to buy that 50 gallons to get a shower, but I like my showers.

At retail price the margin is usually less than 10%. And many people buying diesel don’t pay retail price. The money is inside the store with higher mark ups on everything.

 

I noticed a new one on US 23 in Mi., last week. Didn’t even notice them building it, pass by there every week. All lit up and open for bussiness. They’ve been expanding for a long time now. Often at an established exit, putting the Mom and Pop shop across the street out of Bussiness Charleston Tn. Baxter Tn. Steele Al. , quite a few. Usually not enough parking spots. Mom and Pop, provide the parking, clean the lot, till they go out of Bussiness.

 

I just find that hard to believe . Would love to see some numbers and see what these truck stops is really paying

There’s a couple. All you have to do is google profit margin per gallon of diesel and start reading. They don’t make their money from fuel sales. And I was wrong. According to those articles it’s not even 10%.
