There’s more to it than just that. A lot of these communities don’t wanna deal with trucks idling thru the night(noise pollution),plus the concerns about drugs, prostitution and panhandling going on in a truck stop(quality of life). Most drivers don’t wanna deal with that mess either, all were trying to do is find someplace to get some rest!

Those pee bottles and damaged landscaping is why the no parking signs went up. I wouldn't let trucks park on my property either.

Heck I dislike most of us nowadays .. but from what a lot of people seem to say all industries have hired people they wouldn’t have even considered 15 years ago.. society has gone on a big decline when it comes to morals and integrity ..

Dang! Another Quentin Tarantino movie is it?

On one hand, I hate those punks thinking that they can take my parking spot, I paid $15 for, on the other hand, you can't just shoot them over it.

The guard, unless the driver popped out of his truck mad and armed one way or another coming at him, should have called the cops to handle it. It is not up to him to initiate any physical confrontation.

The truth is that a normal man, having been notified that he is parked in a spot that someone else paid for, would leave the spot humbly and apologetically.

I pulled in the Petro on I74 west of Cincinasti I see 2/3-3/4 off the parking spots are now pay spots. All 10? Of the free spots were full, as well as every possible “inventa spot”. I backed into a pay spot and went in and paid for it. $18.00! I guarantee there will still be open pay spots in the morning. More carriers need to step up and cover the parking fees. If parking becomes profitable there will be no issues finding a parking spot, and it won’t necessarily be as expensive as it is now.

You think so? I doubt it. I noticed that paid/free parking spots ratio increase if it’s the only truck stop in the area.

You gotta pay for the reserved parking. You don't like to pay TA/Petro then don't go there. Why so many have this idea that buying fuel entitles them to own a piece of land there? Many who say that, pay for the fuel with their boss's money, anyway.

It is good to be able to reserve a spot in an area close to pick up and delivery or maximize the 11 hour clock.
