For the past six days I have been burning the midnight oil starting again today at 12:30 AM. Spoke to DM about getting a load assignment that will end this Batman driving. Next week I go home to celebrate a late valentine day and my wife 63 birthday. She is my treasure, beautiful and wise woman. I have been blessed for 36 years and still counting! When we hit the 40th anniversary we are going to make a BIG celebration Texas style and you are all invited.

 

Just watched a abilene driver do one of the best pretrips I've ever seen,over here in Chester.

Hook to trailer,roll up landing gear ,walk to back to put on seal,and haul tail.

 

Wait, so that's not how that's done?

 

Dropped in Jacksonville 0830 this morning then got sent to Husqvarna in SC to LLD going to Groveport Oh. Was supposed to drop tomorrow but I only got 7 hrs on my 70 left so gotta drop Friday after I gain 3 hours back recapping then they gotta get me to WA for hometime next weekend, got 4 doc appts scheduled. Going to suck recapping to WA cuz can't do a reset.....they should have let me reset after dropping in Jax then found me something west. Me thinks they shouldn't have sent me to FL with my 70 way it was/is. Gotta get a light fixed too on this trailer I got in Jax after dropping my loaded one since whoever dropped it obviously didn't care to see the burned out light. Looks like it literally burned....my recaps would be better if they planned better and not gave me loads with too much time on them....must be the Knight way of doing things....

 

And that, my friends, is why we have so many issues. Bless their heart!

 

Man, I at least thump the tires.

 

I like Abilene for the most part, and 98% of the time my hometime requests are met without difficulty.

But I have learned to keep an eye peeled for that remaining 2%. And I will call them in a heartbeat if they give me a load that puts me at risk of missing hometime and I will explain to them why I can't take that load.

Only reason I go home is to see my kids. I ain't gonna get screwed out of seeing my kids.
