Hey guys I have this unbelievable nack for being in the wrong place at the wrong time and have gotten ANOTHER possesion of alcohol ticket between the ages of 18-20 and although it doesnt affect where Im working now will I need to put them down on applications? Its not a moving violation and I have never gotten a DUI but Im young and kinda dumb yet and like partying on the occasional weekend. There spaced about a year apart the last one was a week ago which was a hellofa waste of money $335 plus the ######## Iowa state trooper (car number 118 Sean H) tackled me and broke my cell phone (still not sure if its worth pressing charges) b/c I was peeing beside the house. His excuse was " I was attempting to run".

First off you need to work these issues out before you try to come out here. Not sure how many years we are talking here, but you don't need to come out here with that mind set.
Native Dancer Thanks this. -
Your at a crossroad in your life, you have to decide which way to go. Most alcoholics, and yes I have dealt with hundreds in the last 13 years, start very young. They can not get away from the booze and it consumes your life. You have to decide what you want out of life? Where you want to be? Sounds like the path your going is the same that many young people go down and get get caught up in. They get criminal records and eventually if you drink and party enough, chances are a DUI is around the corner. I know you can say you don't drive when you drink. A lot of sober people say that, mix in alcohol your inhibitions lower and usual things that you do, goes out the window.
I guess what it comes down to is plain and simple, what do you want with your life? The way your going now, is not the way of a professional driver.Hitman, GasHauler, outerspacehillbilly and 6 others Thank this. -
GET A CLUE DUDE!!!dieselbear and tjordan Thank this. -
If you were peeing beside the house it sounds like you were well on the way to drinking and driving. Was that the last stop before getting in the car?
-
You weren't in the wrong place at the wrong time, you are irresponsible and make crappy decisions. I honestly hope you find a line of work more fitting to your lifestyle. Trucking isn't it.
tjordan Thanks this. -
It has been summed up very well to this point. You have made poor choices and continue to do so. What makes you think you will escape these issues driving a CMV?
In this state as in many, getting busted for underage possesion will get you a visit with the officer asking you to breahe into this tube. A minor is allowed zero alcohol in thier system. At this point you would get a underage. Two and you lose your driving priviliges for 6 months.
In WI, that is an alcohol related suspension, even though you weren't driving.
Enough said? -
So, did the officer get pissed on while he tackled you? Assuming he cuffed you, did he pull up your zipper for you? I know, it's kind of crazy, but I'm visualizing this in my mind. Btw, forget about trucking anytime soon with alcohol related charges on your rap sheet.

I've got a good friend kinda like you. He lost his license when he was 17 for walking down the street drunk. His drinking problem escalated, when he got his license back he wound up putting a Honda Accord into a stone wall (there was the remains of a Coors 30-rack in the car, hint-hint). He's 22 now and he MIGHT get the privilege to drive again next year. He currently works for his step-dad as a carpenter (rather underpaid, but it's his only option because most contractors don't pick you up at your house). He is learning and growing up a bit now though.
We've been friends since grade school, and I've been watching him make bad decisions for years. He is still living down bad choices he made in high school. I've made different choices, and benefitted some from seeing how his poor ones played out.
You too will grow up some, whether you do it on your own or in the county jail. Think about the path that you're on and if it goes where you want it to. -
if it were me i would try to get a copy of your criminal record . then get a lawer and an see what u can do to get it removed if u can. I dont know what u can do but start digging around and fix it.
