Kenworth is walking all over the crowd and you know I like the look of them and they are comfortable I just don't like the pedals

The new KW pedal system is more car like, hanging down, as opposed to the old style rockers. They take a little getting used to, but get comfy after that.

Yeah I never liked that "rocker" style pedal even when I started to get used to it, other than that no problem with the truck

yeah, but I think the Pete handles better and the cab is a bit bigger.... thats why Im on the 379 side of the isle, but both are great trucks. Ive driven many different trucks, but the 2 Paccar classics are still my fave...

Ride comfort that's what I look for Volvo is the best for ride manuvering and room...KW and Peterbuilt overrated ..Drive long nose Peterbuild 2006 now turned in a 2004 with 450,000 miles both tight takes a field to turn around in and stiff rides worse than a corn binder Volvo is my choise 880 would just suite me fine....:occasion9:

The Volvo is a very comfortable truck. I've yet to drive a truck of any other brand that could compare, however, when I took this poll I was thinking of what I would buy should I lose my marbles enough to buy a truck and become an O/O. With that in mind, I chose Peterbilt. Volvo's are prone to electrical problems that could (and did when I drove one) keep a driver in the shop as much as the highway. I'll never forget going across I-70 in Indiana and the lights just suddenly went out at 3AM, then came back on, then went out, then only one came back on... I swear I thought that truck was possessed. Truck only had about 80,000 miles on it at that time. At 60,000 miles the starter ground wire CORRODED IN TWO. Gimme a 379 Ext. Hood with a 600 Twin Turbo Cat, 13 speed Eaton Fuller and I will have to change my drawers.

Peterbilt read your post, and they are cancelling their line of 379's. Sorry.
