    Dear TR Forum,

What time of the year is the busiest in the trucking industry? What time of the year is the best time to apply for work as a truck driver? What part of the US has the most trucking jobs please?

    Thanks,

the busiest time of year is going to depend on what type of wagon you are hauling

apply any time the turnover rate is so high right now they are all looking to fill this elusive driver shortage

not sure on your last question

I'm sorry, Shadow...didn't mean to hijack your posting....but anytime I'm reminded of anything from the 40s, I get a little....sidetracked.

Are you looking to relocate? Where are you now?

....so why ask??? Thanks 48Packard... Thank goodness there are still those alive who recall The Shadow--one of my all time favorite radio shows. Lamont Cranston, wealthy man about town who studied the mystic arts in the Orient and learned the power to cloud men's minds. Lamont later became a mysterious crime fighter--often aided by the police. He was usually accompanied by the lovely Margo Lane. She tended to always get involved with the bad guys. HOWEVER Lamont Cranston was NOT a tractor-trailer driver, so cut me some slack. Yes, he was good with a gun or his fists, but, he did not drive a tractor-trailer in any episodes. Sorry.
