Actually not many places have a practise lot so that question was probably legit.

Not snotty at ALL~! So you kind of walked into the industry like myself; I had my own trash route at the age of 16, with almost the same truck you speak of~! Yep, you probably WERE born to drive, then. Many young people have not had that opportunity. Your skills in backing will literally just fall into place one day, be sure of it. (as long as you aren't a quitter...)

The set ups are pretty much key; don't be embarrassed to even start OVER! Many a truckstop has drivers that circle the lot and start over, because their set up was bad. Sometimes it's easier to recover, that way.

Hope you stick around TTR long enough to let us know your progress. Kudos to you, man.

Thank you. It's just not something I've ever heard of. Every lot is my practice lot. I'm still practicing, despite my SuperTrucker status.

    Ohio is my practice lot.

Thank you. You my friend give some of the best encouragement on this site. I do not have many other choices of employment where I live but to drive. And I have loved the weeks with my trainer learning how to deal with consignees and some of the ins and outs of trucking. There is no one in this industry who knows how to deal with evey situation correctly. I know this as a fact. So I will ignore the negative SUPER truckers and take any positive advice from the helpful positive thinking drivers.

G13Tomcat and Bob Dobalina Thank this.

Awh, thank you, man. I take that compliment meekly, but much appreciated. I really appreciate that, and you, sir, as well will do fine in this industry. With your background, maturity, attitude, and wherewithal ... I'd be honored to meet you on the road someday.

Be safe; if you ever need someone to yap with besides your neighbor, feel free to pm me.

    Hats off to you!

    Tom

You will know when you meet me. I am extremely baby faced and look like I'm 16, and run all east coast.

    G13Tomcat Thanks this.
