O.k. guys what are your opinions on the hands down most comfortable truck to drive? In terms of the best ride and the best steering. I do mostly local work, but go over the road (back the same day) about once a week. I have it narrowed down to Peterbuilt and Volvo. O yeah, i am just coming up on one year experience and currently own and operate a Freightliner Century.

I've heard the volve has a real good ride. My FLD120 rides good but they don't make them anymore. My dad loves the ride of his Classic, and a buddy of mine has a Pete with lowleaf suspension, when I went for a ride in it I thought it rode really good.
As for handling, I've had my truck for over 10 years now and really can't complain! I haul pretty heavy at times. But these newer trucks are more improved than what I've got, I'm sure I would be impressed buy all of them! -
Don`t really know about newer trucks but of everything I`ve driven(and there have been lots)the VolvoWIA64TES was the only one that wouldn`t turn over a styrofoam cup of coffee. The classic I drive now rides decent but that is partially due to a high dollar seat.Kenworth will always be the best overall truck make.

I owned one Kenworth that was enough wouldn't have one for a wart on my ### now,BUT the majority of truckers want a Pete or a KW so it must be me thats wrong -

i like my wester star 4964 ex 265 wheelbase it rides good considering the hendrickson 52,000 spring suspension ......guess the ride comes mostly from the air ride cab lol.............my pete has 46,000 air trac it's like a cadalic but the steer stands up lot better with a load (again th spring's help with that) i can see better and have alot more room in the steer only drawback is it like climbing in a freakin tank
