CDL Disqualification

    I received 2 serious violations in a 3 year period. In 06 I got a Speeding (15-19) over and got another 1 in 09. I've had no problem with employment. I moved to FL in 10/2010 and switched my CDL over from VA to FL. A week later I get a letter from DMV stating my Class A portion will be disqualified for 60 days. Well the 60 days is over and my question is will I be able to find employment with the disqualification being so recent? I have no points against my license. The ticket in 06 I was in a CMV and the one in 09 I was on my motorcycle.

    Yep totally up to the company most will look at it and scrutinize but look at the age of it and whether you have stayed clean sense.and they would not even look at it if it was less than 10 over

    Most insurance companies limit the number of 'major' violations a new hire can have two within three - five years is sometimes allowed. If that's all that is on your record you will be able to get on w/ some companies. A bunch of minor violations could get in the way,,,
