Have some friends who have/had been with BTT for years. Some have left recently, others looking to leave.Seems to be pretty much the same all over the Virginia Ports.I tried a couple of the more "reputable" port companies and found them severly lacking in both ethics and rates.Try to find a company closer to your home that hauls containers,or go to the expense to set yourself up on your own,and stay away from all the companies around the ports. There are several smaller mom&pop operations around where you may find work. Its been MY experience to make more, for less work, than what those port companies offer and I don`t have any surprise deductions.I love hauling containers, but would sell my truck today if I had to count on ANY port company to make a living.Good Luck in your search.

Containers suck around here (Mobile AL). I've been a company driver for 2 different companies here and both paid $13 an hour. Very heavy loads, mostly frozen chicken. Regularly grossing 94-102k. Constantly blowing tires. The tires on these chassis are crap to start with. I don't know what the O/O were making but from talking to them they were barely staying afloat. From the looks of their trucks I believe it. I don't know if its this way with all companies but in my experience the work is up and down. 80 hrs one week and 30 the next.
