Drove for them for 3 yrs. Excellent company, Excellent Pay and Excellent benefits. I was treated like a human being with respect and not just a number.. With any company you have your good and bad but I would definitely recommend them..

How was the training?I was told two weeks in a classroom, and then with a trainer for so long,by the way i do have experience.
-
Hi, it depends on your experience and what you apply for. I believe it is a week in the classroom a week in the yard and a 8 weeks with a trainer for new drivers.. If you apply for a transfer driver position and you have experience I'm sure its much shorter b/c all you're doing is drop and hooks...bigwallmike and OftheBull Thank this.

It's one week in the classroom and up to the trainer when you are put on your own. Brand new drivers are with the trainer longer. Not a bad company at all I've been here almost two years.
bigwallmike and Crusader66 Thank this. -
Is there anyone that current works there that I can chat with on the phone? I have my three interviews Monday and just want to go over on what to expect.
-
You have to go with a trainer even with experience?
-
Yes, although how long you're with a trainer depends on how well you learn DOT policies and procedures... Also as I've said it depends on whether or not you're applying to be a transfer driver or a delivery specialist...

What does the test and three interviews involve? Will I do driving test as well or just written
-
I worked for dot. Interview is like a regular job interview. Questions like tell me about a time how you handled a difficult situation and what are your strengths and weaknesses etc.
That was the first interview the next one is more meet the main transportation manager, introduces himself. Not really an interview.
I never took a written test or road test.
The physical was pretty thorough, lift heavy things check blood pressure/heart rate.
Just be yourself and honest and youll be fine. Good luck -
If there procedures are so difficult to learn on ur own through orientation a week's worth at that and you still have to go out with a trainer screw that
