Truck drivers that don't mind having to use their heads to tell their fingers to write hate E-logs.
Real truck drivers hate E-logs. Steering wheel holders love em. Plain simple and to the point. Type in E-logs in the search area and there is a 205 page arguement about them. Very interesting go check it out.7-UP Thanks this. -
Check out my signature at the bottom of my post. The ones on E-logs are most likely the ones that are causing them to try to be mandated. Most drivers that like E-logs are the ones that know they couldn't figure out how to run legally on paper and so they just want the easy way to do the job.
7-UP Thanks this. -

i hate elog, it wants drivers dive their truck and following the formula, no time rest ,no time nap. not safe at all. i usually wake up after 6 hours sleeping, then must wait extra 4 hours to drive. it's time to quit this job.

Elogs only record if you are compliant or not. Has nothing to do with driving safe. I started with e-logs and hated them from the beginning. Especially if your safety department can review and edit them at will. (It happens) How about running out of time waiting at the customer to load or unload. You can't stay there. Then what? Play the game of driving 7/10th of a mile, shut the truck off, wait, and the go another 7/10th until you can get to where you can shut down? How about just coming off a 10hr break and finding out your next load isn't for another 10 hours and must deliver within 10 hrs of that? Most will say to turn down the load because you won't be rested. BS! You'll take the load. You got to run to make money.
I'll take paper any day. It'll be logged legally on paper. It will always be safe in reality. Those that confuse e-logs with safety are fooling themselves. I would bet that any competent driver running paper logs has a better chance of operating a CMV safer than one on e-logs worrying about going a minute past his electronic clocks. -
